Overview
Jesse and Neil are finally back in the studio (sort of) to discuss the Energon Invitational. In this episode of the Shuffle Bus, the guys start out by describing how the event unfolded, there thoughts on how it was run, and just the overall experience at Pax Unplugged.
Top Finishing Decks
Lots of players have been discussing their results and the top decks have been covered just about everywhere. If you want to review the decklists, please check head over here and see how the day unfolded.
Springer with EMP Wave?
Neil and Jesse both had an opportunity to play against the EMP Wave/Springer deck at the Energon Invitational. This episode will dive deep into the deck, how it functions and how you can potentially beat it.
Is this a punishing deck that will continue to warp the meta in unknown ways? Only time will tell, but spoiler “We think the deck isn’t fun to play against.”
Megatron Bet
There is still plenty of time to win the Megatron bet. We are anxiously awaiting the top 32 results. After speaking with Drew and Matt, they are working to help release the Top 32 decklists. With that, we hope to clear up whether any version of Megatron made the top 32 at PaxU.
If you know of a deck that did make the top 32 and have proof of the list that was played, Neil and I will settle the bet and one of us will be rapping on an upcoming episode.
